It sounds technical, and in some ways it is. But it's also one of the most accessible wind sports to start. You don't need a windsurfing background. You don't need to be particularly strong. Your first session: what to expect

The first lesson starts on a normal board — no foil yet. You spend the hour getting used to the wing: how it pulls, how to depower it, how to balance while it's generating force. Most beginners are riding downwind comfortably by the end of the first hour.

Once you feel comfortable managing the wing and finding your balance, the foil comes in. That first moment the board lifts out of the water — even just for a second — is one of those experiences you'll remember clearly. From there, it's about building consistency: longer flights, better direction control, learning to turn.
